Surfside is becoming an extension of Bal Harbour, with much glamour, fashion and elegant oceanfront living. Fittingly, the first Fendi Château Residences is unequivocally glamorous, fashionable and elegant with custom mother-of-pearl kitchen cabinets, 10 and 11-foot-high ceilings, Italian marble and impeccable furnishings by Fendi Casa. Deluxe amenities also include shabbat elevators, kosher BBQ, private saunas, rooftop sun decks and swimming pools in the penthouses.
“The Residences do not only offer world-class living, but have direct access to the upscale urban retail and dining environment of Bal Harbour,” says Manuel Grosskopf, CEO of Château Group.
The acclaimed development team is thrilled to bring their distinct vision and unrivaled standard of luxury living to the blossoming town of Surfside. The Residences are located on three acres adjacent to the Atlantic Ocean, just three blocks south of the Bal Harbour Shops, with its world-class shopping, fine restaurants, galleries, and famous people-watching cafes.
Priced from $6 million to $25 million, the residences are Fendi’s first brand project in the worldwide real estate market. International developer Château Group enlisted renowned architecture firm Arquitectonica to design the buildings stunning wave-like facade, with the entrance of the building featuring remarkable vertical gardens.
The low-density building, situated along one of the largest stretches of oceanfront property in South Florida, offers buyers ultimate privacy with only 58 flow-through residences on 12 floors. Ranging from 3,325 square feet to more than 7,000 square feet with 3 to 5 bedrooms, each residence features east to west exposures, custom chef’s kitchens outfitted with Gaggenau appliances, large living quarters and master suites, as well as his and her master bathrooms.
“Château Group develops distinct residential buildings which embody the highest level of architectural design with a refined functionality,” says Manuel Grosskopf, who manages the operations for Château Group in the United States. His father, Sergio Grosskopf, has more than 35 years of experience in the development of real estate projects across South America, including malls and luxury condominiums in Argentina and Uruguay.
Grosskopf adds, “Fendi represents the highest level of elegance, innovative style and excellence in the fashion and luxury worlds, making it a perfect expression of the ultimate lifestyle. Fendi and Château Group strive to achieve the same level of quality as evident in the residences, which combine function and fashion on a grand scale.”
The furniture and accessories in the building express a contemporary lifestyle that is modern and classic, a perfect balance between tradition and innovation. The rimini marble used throughout the lobby was imported from Italy, and the furnishings in the seating vignettes are modern, luxurious and functional, using soft colors such as beige, brown, cream and gray.
Pops of color in the lobby come from the vivid blue sculptures created by Pablo Atchugarry, a contemporary, abstract sculptor from Uruguay who also crafted the Incontro Di Luce sculpture located by the beach, donated by Château Group to the town of Surfside. A gold “Baguette Wall” in the lobby is signature Fendi Roma, an insignia exhibited in many of their fashion stores around the world.
Fendi design is centerpiece to the Fendi Château Residences, details that reflect the expressive codes of Fendi are everywhere, bringing a harmonious fusion between design and fashion. “Fendi is at the heart of Italian culture and heritage and of the luxury world,” says Grosskopf.
Additional exclusive amenities include dedicated elevators opening to private foyers, underground parking, a state-of-the-art fitness center overlooking the sea, private spa with indoor European thermal pool, private cinema, business and media centers, well thought out kid’s club, gated entrance with 24 hour security, doorman and valet services, private restaurant with a full chef’s kitchen for casual and formal dining. Two fresh water pools and two reflective swimming pools face the ocean, with one rising at the touch of a button to create a perfect, dry-surfaced floor.
An added truffle is the tailored services available to residents. A full crew of professional staff is available to cater to property owners’ needs around the clock, from a five-star concierge, to luxury spa and salon services, personal beach attendants, and even a dedicated private chef. “The building is beautiful,” says Grosskopf, “but without the proper level of service, beauty doesn’t mean anything. Being a second generation developer, real estate is in my blood and I want the very best.”
Fendi Château buyers are sophisticated global gentry, ranging from snowbirds from the American Northeast to fashionable residents from Brazil, Austria, Argentina, France, Mexico, and Russia, all attracted to Miami’s vibrant cultural and artistic scene, and to its world famous beaches and shopping.
“Miami is a vibrant and cosmopolitan city, one of the great destinations in the world,” says Grosskopf. “As developers, we put our heart and soul into every detail of Fendi Château so our buyers are as happy in their new homes as they are while out enjoying everything Miami has to offer.”
