Traditional Brisket
4-6 Servings



  • 1 whole untrimmed brisket
  • 1 pack of onion soup mix
  • 3 tablespoons of Kitchen Bouquet
  • 1 cup of water
  • Pepper



  1. Heat oven to 450 °F. Season brisket with all ingredients and place in large deep baking pan.
  2. Place in oven uncovered for 20 minutes.
  3. Lower the temperature to 350°.
  4. Cover brisket with aluminum foil. Bake for 3 hours or until tender.
  5. Let rest and carve against the grain. Pour all liquid into a gravy/fat separator.
  6. Discard all fat before serving.
