SIMCHA CONNECTION WAS CREATED IN 2006 WHEN RABBI MORDECHAI CHAMAMI FROM RECHOVOT APPROACHED RABBI FEIVISH MORDECHAI DALFIN TO HELP MANY ORPHANS IN ISRAEL WITH A BAR AND BAT MITZVAH CELEBRATION.
Since the encounter between Rabbi Mordechai Chamami and Rabbi Feivish Mordechai Dalfin to hold celebrations for orphaned children, they started working together visiting the children at their homes giving them spiritual, emotional and material support as they prepared them to understand the importance of the prayers and the responsibilities of becoming a young adult.
Since then, South Florida’s Jewish community has helped with the fundraising, and Simcha Connection has been able to organize eighteen Bar Mitzvah celebrations and fourteen Bat Mitzvah parties with ten to fifteen children. The ceremonies are held at the Kotel and the celebrations at a nice hall.
Simcha Connection helps them also with nice gifts of suits and Talit or Tefilin for the boys, and dresses, earrings and candle sticks for the girls.
As some of these orphans grow up they have different needs, so the non-profit organization assists them with their wedding arrangements, helping them with the bridal gowns and the music.
Simcha Connection is preparing a calendar which will include the names of many sponsors to be mentioned by the widows and orphans, to pray for our friends per request.
The Mishnah says:
The Day is short; there is much work to be done.
It cannot be completed by an individual, but one cannot excuse himself from this responsibility.
We must all join in together!
